2.2.2 AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION

An automatic installation program named install.exe is provided on the CD. It can be run
through Windows Explorer or through the Run dialog box. A form, as shown in Figure 2-2,
is displayed. Various parts of the installation program are controlled by the command
buttons. The operation of each command button is described in the following sections.

2.2.2.1 INSTALL

Push the Install command button to run the automatic installation program. The
installation program creates the KPA 900 directory in root directory C: and copies the
necessary files to it. If a previous version of the KPA 900 is installed, the program files are
replaced. Existing configuration files and all files other than KPA 900 files in the KPA 900
directory are saved.

2.2.2.2 RUN

Push the Run command button to run the KPA 900 program. If the program is not
installed, pushing this button instructs the user to install the program before running it.

2.2.2.3 VIEW

Pressing the View command button will open a viewing screen and display the contents
of the read.me file.

2.2.2.4 UNINSTALL

Push the Uninstall command button to remove all traces of the KPA 900 installation from
the personal computer.

2.2.2.5 EXIT

Push the Exit command button to shut down the installation program.
