4.11 Interface Reconfiguration

Figure 4-18 illustrates how the interface circuit board fits into the larger main modem board
opening.

A header-type connector is provided to connect the two circuit boards together. The interface
board can be removed by loosening the two retaining screws and nuts, then pulling the board
outward from its connector.

Once a replacement board is in position, the two flanged lock nuts and screws are secured with
built-in flat washers above and below the board junctures.

It may be desirable to select a new data rate at this time using the front panel switches as
outlined in Chapter 3 of this manual.
