Replace Power Supply - Step 1

If during your trouble shooting, you have determined that a P/S is defective, you
can replace it without disrupting the normal operation of the chassis and media
converters, provided your 9101 is equipped with a redundant P/S. The following
steps explain how to replace a faulty unit without having to power down the
chassis and disrupt service.

Step 1: From the front of the 9101 Chassis, pull forward the two or three units

(8829s, 9119s) directly in front of the defective P/S until you begin to feel
slight resistance from the DC pigtail cables. This will create extra space for
access to the P/S cable connected to the main PCB. Reference Figure 4-1.
