Level

8:

All DVDs can be played.

Level

1

to

7; Prohibits play of DVDs with corresponding ratings recorded on

them.

Level 0:

Prohibits play of all DVDs.

•The password screen is shown if you choose levels 0 to 7

page 54).

•Select “Level 0” to prevent play of discs that do not have

ratings levels recorded on them.

The password screen is shown when you select “Ratings” if

levels 0 to 7 have been selected page 54).

Field:

Less blurred field stills are shown. Select if jittering occurs when
“Automatic" is selected.

Frame: Sharper frame stills are shown. Select if small text or fine patterns

cannot be seen clearly when “Automatic” is selected.

PAL 60: When connected to a PAL television.
NTSC:

When connected to an NTSC or a multi-system television.

When the center/surround speakers cannot be located in the ideal position.

Turn dynamic range compression on in the following cases.

• For clear dialogue when listening at low volume.
•When sound is distorted while playing multi-channel DVD

audio through two channels (when headphones or a
microphone are connected, during recording, or when
using the MIX 2CH mode).
