Setup (Handset)
Battery charge
Lay the handset in the cradle of the base unit for
about 6 hours before initial use
■ A beep will sound, and the fallowing will be
displayed for an instant on the base unit

■ Clean the handset and the base unit charge
contacts with a dry cloth once a month, or the
battery may not charge properly
■ The battery cannot be overcharged

the date and Lime
If the base unit is in use, a beep may not sound
and the above display may not be shown
While charging, the battery strength mark (see
below) will be shown on the handset display

You can check the battery strength on the
handsel display while the handsel is in use, or for
about 5 seconds after using the handset

Battery life
If your Panasonic battery is fully charged,
— the battery life will last up to 4 5 hours while in

Recharge
Recharge the battery when
— the handsel beeps mtermitlenlly while it is i n
use, or
— the fcllowing is shown and "i ll” flashes on
the handset display

■ Recharge the handset battery for more lhan 15
minutes, or the display will continue showing Ihe
above indication
Automalic security code setting
Whenever you place the handset on the base
unil, the unit will aulcmatically select one of a
million security codes These codes help lo avoid
unauthorized use of your telephone line by
another cordless lelephone
