MAXX 6T Owner’s Manual

When opening Playlist files in a text editor, you may have to change the file type to “All Files” to be
able to see files with the .lst extension.

Some text editors, such as Notepad, do not display each line separately. Word and Wordpad work
correctly. This is because the files have only Line Feeds (LF) at the ends of lines. The Image Server
will accept modified or externally created files with only LF or with both LF and Carriage Return
(CR) at line endings. You cannot use only CR without LF.

You can edit the list by:

• Changing the names of the clips.

Clip names are case sensitive. Any clip name that does not match an existing clip will be
reported as MISSING when the list is loaded on the Image Server. This also applies to the
names of any subfolders.

• Adding or deleting events manually.

Any of the available event types can be created.

• Modifying or adding to existing events.

You can add “, SKIP” “, frames=xx” or GPI Outputs.

• Cut and Paste the contents of one list into another, or duplicate sections of a list.

Save the file as a raw text file, and replace the .txt extension with .lst. File names should be limited
to 31 characters.

When transferring .lst files via FTP, always specify Binary mode. Do not use ASCII or Auto.
