Calibration

The Calibration window provides controls for calibrating each tube
associated with your instrument. You must be logged onto the system as a
manager to access these security-protected calibration functions.

The Calibration window

Use the tube and bulb spin controls

to display current constants and

valid check standard data available for calibration of each bulb.

Calibration constants are determined individually for each bulb of each
tube. Data for automatic calculation of tube calibration constants is
derived from calibration standards run using that tube.

For information regarding the CAV calibration procedure, see Chapter 3,
Calibrating the CAV
.

The Calibration window options are described briefly below:

Tube selection: Tubes in the bath are numbered from left to right. Use

the spin controls

to select the correct tube for calibration.

Bulb selection: Viscometer bulbs are numbered from the bottom to the
top of the viscometer tube. Use the spin controls to select the correct bulb
for calibration.
