21. Remove all four of the hex bolts securing the

drive shaft to the engine flywheel using a 7/16
socket and extension. See figure 9.

22. Remove the PTO idler arm extension spring. See

figure 10.

23. Remove both of the hex bolts and flanged lock

nuts securing the PTO idler assembly to the
frame using a 9/16 socket and a 9/16 wrench.
See figure 10.

24. Remove the PTO idler assembly from the unit.

25. Remove both of the PTO belts from the engine

pulley.

26. Secure the engine from above using the engine

brackets. See figure 12.

27. Remove all six of the hex bolts and lock nuts from

the engine mounting plate using a 1/2” socket
and a 1/2" wrench. See figure 11.

28. Slowly raise the engine and mounting plate from

the unit while a helper guides the drive shaft out
of the flywheel screen. See figure 12.

FIGURE 13.

NOTE: Use extreme caution while pulling the
drive shaft away from the unit. The drive shaft
couplers will come apart if you are not careful.
