7 Maintenance
Before working on the appliance disconnect from mains!
The GTM system is maintenance-free, in general. Nevertheless, you
should heed some hints:
• Clean the O-rings and grooves after each application with
soap-water and a rag.
• Replace squashed or torn down dense-rings.
• Use up the transmitter accumulators till fully empty before re-
charging.
• Clean grinding-bowls, grinding balls and the filter-cover of any
residues. These impurities lead to changed testing conditions
and falsify the wanted grinding results.
• Clean the screw threads of the screws and screw holes.
• Use or store the GTM system only in dry environments.
• The GTM-System may only be operated and repaired by
trained experts.
8 Warranty
The warranty card accompanying this instrument must be returned to the
manufacturer, duly filled out, in order for the warranty to become effec-
tive.
We, Fritsch GmbH, Germany, our application technology laboratory and
our agent in your country will gladly provide advice and assistance with
this instrument.
Always include the number of the transmitter unit found on the transmit-
ter unit with any queries.
For the present GTM-System, the manufacturer guarantees from pur-
chase-day on 24 months of free repair or exchange of the GTM system.
Exempt are malfunctions which result from improper use., especially
through overheating and exceeding of the stated operating-parameters.
A warranty of 24 months is being granted for the receiver as well.
The guarantee rights must be claimed by sending the respective unit to
the manufacturer.
