5 Detailed

information

5.1 GTM

Software

The updating of the diagram during the measurement takes place
within a second after arriving of new measurements.
Measuring data is not joined at the time-axis but is represented by new
displaying of the time-axis. On some older computers, the picture con-
struction can be very slow with many measuring points. To use never-
theless multitasking put the program into the background (time for pic-
ture construction is no longer necessary)

5.2 Operating modes and configuration

The GTM-System is equipped with an automatically working measure
and transmission-management:

• efficient data-reduction
• automatic adaptation of the measuring speed at the signal-

course (measuring speed adaption)

• Increase of the duration of operation with one accu-charge

through use of two pre-selectable stand-by modes

• Pressure-measurement in two measurement ranges, that are

switched automatically

• If the voltage of the accumulators sinks during operation un-

der a certain value, switches the transmitter units in the low-
voltage-mode.

• Because of the time depending variable scanning the meas-

urements and the time depending variable program of data-
telegrams, in which you can intervene only in a limited man-
ner, by configuration of the transmitter unit, you get meas-
urements for different time spaces. Keep an eye on the
evaluation of the diagrams on the display as point-diagrams
and with the information of stand-by time of possibly not ob-
served times during the comminuting (please see stand-by
mode).

5.2.1 Data-reduction

The transmitter unit immediately sends measurements, if a significant
measurement-alteration is available. The alteration of the digitized
measure signals is crucial on this occasion (at least three digit in stand-
by).
Additionally, the compulsory transmission of the momentary measure-
ment takes place after x Measures (time depends also from the auto-
matic measuring speed adaption), by which slow measurement-
alterations are actually represented and also the function-proof of the
GTM systems takes place. The data-reduction is enforced automatically
and can be adjusted by the user.
