Division in the ratio 1 : 8

n

Screw eight glass laboratory bottles into the dividing head (eight 250

mL or 500 mL bottles with GL55 glass screw thread, depending on

sample quantity).

n

Place the lid on the dividing head.

n

Insert a suitable funnel.

Insert a funnel suitable for the sample. The diameter of the

funnel neck should be at least twice the particle size of the

sample.

Division in the ratio 1 : 10

n

Screw 10 glass laboratory bottles into the dividing head (10 250 mL

bottles with GL55 glass screw thread, depending on sample quan-

tity).

n

Place the lid on the dividing head.

n

Insert a suitable funnel.

n

500 mL glass bottles cannot be used.

6.1.2.3

Division in the ratio 1 : 30

n

Screw three sample bottles into the dividing head (three 15 mL, 20

mL or 30 mL bottles, depending on sample quantity).

n

Insert and lock in place three collection pans (pull pin down, insert

pan and release pin) (see Ä Chapter 6.4 ‘Taking samples’

on page 22).

n

The collection pans collect from 9 sample channels each with

approx. 30 % of the fill amount.

n

Place the lid on the dividing head.

n

Insert a suitable funnel.
