If you wish to restrict calls to this number to a particular phone line, select
the line from the drop down menu and check the box next to “Restrict
calls to this interface”.

As desired, check the box next to “Retry after leaving a message”.

As desired, check the box next to “Retry after no answer”.

• By default the Radius system will allow the phone call attempt to ring for

roughly 30 seconds before hanging up. Once the Radius system hangs
up, it will automatically queue the phone call for another attempt
according to the alert device’s settings.

To have a separate alert sent to you when the alarm has been confirmed,
check the box next to “Send notification when alarm is confirmed”.

As desired, edit the “How many times should the system try to call?” field.

As desired, edit the “How many minutes should the system wait between
call attempts?” field.

As desired, enter any notes in the “Notes” field.

Click “Insert Alert Device”.

4.2.3 Set Up an Email/SMS Alert

To set up an email alert:

Select “Email” from the “Insert Alert Device” dropdown menu.

Enter a description of the alert in the “Description” field.

If desired, choose a category from the “Alert Device Category” dropdown
menu.

• This is usually used for quick messages and reminders.

Enter the email address for the alert in the “Email address” field.

• To send an SMS text message, use the cell phone carrier’s SMS email

format. For example, the email format for a text message sent using
AT&T is the ten digit phone number followed by @txt.att.net.

To have a separate alert sent to you when the alarm has been confirmed,
check the box next to “Send notification when alarm is confirmed”.

If sending the email to your pager service, check the box next to “Use
short message format”.

As desired, enter any notes in the “Notes” field.
