11.5 Setting up the Inovonics Positioning System for
Mobile Duress

Once the vector map has been established, all monitored devices that have
been set up to provide location information will provide a location to all alert
devices when they are alarmed.

For more information about setting up monitored devices, see “Setting Up
Monitored Devices” on page 14.

11.6 Setting up the Inovonics Positioning System for Asset
Tracking

11.6.1 Configuring Zones for Tracked Assets

In the Radius system, a zone is defined as an area to be monitored for the
presence of certain devices. When a check-in message from a tracked asset
in that zone is detected, an alarm is sent. Zones are created by binding
together points of interest.

For instance, if all points of interest in a front lobby are selected, then any time
a check-in message from a tracked asset is detected in the lobby, the device
will send an alarm.

Before a zone can be created, the zone configuration must be established. To
configure a zone:

Click “Install Setup.”

Click “Zone Configuration.”

As desired, modify the “Zone Reset Period:” field to increase or decrease
the number of seconds after which a pendant is bypassed from zone
alarms.

As desired, uncheck the “Alarm Pendants:” box.

As desired, uncheck the “Alarm Zones:” box.

As desired, modify the “Zone Multiplier:” field.

As desired, enter a pendant transmitter ID number in the”Testing
Pendants:” field to create a test device.

• Any zone alarms created on a test pendant are automatically cleared, and

supervision messages are ignored. Additionally, if the test pendant is
