5.1.1 Modes
Modes are time schedules for the system that typically include such things as
day mode, night mode, and weekend mode. Each mode determines how each
category of device is handled during the specified time frame.
5.1.2 Actions
Actions tell the system what to do when an alarm occurs. A typical action might
be to send a message to a pager, or call a telephone. Actions are setup after
modes, and applied to modes as needed.
5.2 Setting Up Modes
To set up modes:
1 From the home screen, click “Administration”.
2 Click “Modes and Actions”.
• When the “Active” check box is checked, the mode is available to use.
This does not mean that the mode is currently active, just that it will
become active during the specified time period. During normal operation,
the Radius system will automatically move between modes as the
schedule dictates.
Note: “Always” is the default system mode and cannot be altered, though the actions for
the mode can be edited.
3 Click “Create a new Mode”.
4 Enter a name for the mode in the “Mode Name” field.
5 Define the duration using the “Start Time” and “End Time” dropdown
menus.
6 Select the days of the week to which the mode will apply.
7 Click “Insert Mode.”
