A service defines a community of recipients and senders. A user's equipment determines the
various capabilities of service (e.g., fax, telex, X.400).
Since KCS systems support a variety of sending services, you can maintain a directory of
services in the Services window, shown below:
Each service sends specific types of documents and has its own method for addressing
messages. Authorized users can define the document types supported and the type of
addressing used for each service.
A service may be capable of exchanging the following:

Restricted text (telex)
T
Text - Full ASCII text

Image
B
Binary
O
OCR conversion (not supported)

requires a digital signature
