n WARNING

The instructor and the student must
be within 10 meters or 33 ft. in order

to keep secure RF link with WTR-7.

There should not be any people or
other objects between the instructor

and the student in order to avoid blocking
the RF signal.

S i n c e t h e s t u d e n t ' s t r a n s m i t t e r
also has to be turned on to use the

WTR-7 please make sure that the student's
transmitter's battery is fully charged or still
has enough capacity to operate for the full
time of training.

If the WTR-7 lose the RF-link with
the student's transmitter during the

student's control, the priority of the control
will automatically back to the instructor
regardless of the instructor's selector.
Therefore, please keep paying attention to
the model as usual.

The connection cable is specially
made for the WTR-7 thus it MUST not

be used for any other purpose.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Thank you for purchasing the WTR-7, Wireless Trainer
System for FASST.

The WTR-7 is to be used as a wireless trainer unit instead
of the conventional wired trainer cable.

The chart below shows how the WTR-7 is to be used.

Usage condition:

The student's transmitter MUST -

- be in the 7ch mode of FASST such as T6EX, T7C, TM7,

TM8's 7ch-mode, TM10's 7ch-mode, TM14's 7ch-mode, etc.

- have the micro connector trainer port.

The instructor's transmitter can be any type of Futaba's
transmitter which has the micro connector trainer port.
(It means that the instructor's transmitter can be FASST,
conventional FM-PPM, PCM1024, or PCM-G3.)

• Link the WTR-7 to the student's

transmitter beforehand.

• Use the miniature screwdriver supplied

to operate the Link switch.

Usage Precaution

Before using your new WTR-7, please read this manual thoroughly and use the
system properly and safely. After reading this manual, store it in a safe place.

Operation Step

Preparation

• Be sure that the student's transmitter is on FASST

7ch-mode if it's selectable.

• For utilizing the T14MZ or T12Z as the student.

Please set the trainer mode to "Teacher" in order
to get power to the WTR-7 for linking.

Link to the student's transmitter

Turn on the student's transmitter.

The LED on the WTR-7 will be blinking
green.

Press and hold the link switch for more
than 2 seconds in order to link to the
student's transmitter.

The LED on the WTR-7 will be on green
solid when the link is established.

Turn off the transmitter.

Unplug the WTR-7 from the student's
transmitter.

• Fix the WTR-7 to some place on the instructor's

transmitter in order to prevent it from becoming
unplugged and dropping off the transmitter.

Turn on both transmitters.

Check the airplane's control surfaces to

make sure you have proper operation.

Other settings for the trainer usage are same as the
conventional usage.

Please refer the transmitter's instruction manual
for detail.
