Therefore, the chance of your airbags
deploying accidentally is extremely rare.
If your airbags ever deploy for no apparent
reason, have the vehicle inspected by your
dealer. More than likely, the dealer will find
undercarriage damage indicating that you hit
a pothole or hard raised object in the road,
and the airbags deployed because the sensors
detected a momentary rapid deceleration.
Can the airbags go off accidentally?
The airbag system is extremely
sophisticated and highly reliable. An
electronic system continually monitors the
sensors and other components whenever
the ignition is on, and the SRS indicator
