Please make these simple checks before calling for service. These tips can save you time and money since charges for installation

and adjustment of customer controls are not covered under your warranty.

FROM SUBWOOFER

Make sure the power cord is inserted fiilly into a 120V/60Hz outlet.

Check to be sure outlet is not on a wall switch.

Unplug the power cord, wait 1 minute, then reinsert the plug and push the POWER button.

Check the VOLUME knob on the unit.

Make sure the correct feature has been selected (for instance, “CD” shoidd be selected when playing a CD).

Make sure the speakers are properly connected.

“El” or “E2” is displayed on the front of the Receiver. Turn Receiver off and then back on. Make sure
speaker wires are not shorted together.

If headphones are plugged in, disconnect them.

Check, and if necessary, replace batteries.

Make sure the remote is pointed head-first at the Receiver.

Make sure the Receiver is plugged into an operating wall outlet.

The remote may be either too far away from the Receiver or not in front of the Receiver.

Make sure the correct MODE SELECT button was pushed.

Repeat channel selection.

Make sure the antennas are properly connected.

Make sure the Subwoofer speakers are properly connected.

At lower volume levels, the bass sound may not be as clearly heard. This is normal.

NOTE; Electrostatic discharge can cause unexpected problems. For example, causing the unit to fail to react to operator of the buttons. In that event, you should
reset the unit by disconnecting it from the household wall outlet.
