STRAIGHT STITCH:

The normal stitch length for most fabrics
is between 2-4 but the length chosen

should depend on the fabric and area of
usage. Usually, heavier fabrics require

longer stitches, and lighter weight fabrics

require shorter stitches. For curved seams

and bias cut areas use a shorter stitch
length. Be sure to set the stitch width
control at "o" line.

SETTING THE STITCH LENGTH

The length of the stitch is regulated by the stitch length control dial. Near 0
is the shortest stitch and 5 is the longest. But the control may be set at any spot
between marking for a variety of lengths. Turn the control dial to the right to
lengthen and to the left to shorten the stitch.
