FEDERAL AND CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS CONTROL WARRANTY STATEMENT

(for non-road Diesel engines rated under 19 kW)

YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

The U.S. Emaronmental Protection Agency (EPA), the California Air Resources Board (GARB), Generac Power Systems,

Inc. (GENERIC) and the engine manufacturer for this equipment, Ishikawajima Shibaura Machinery Co., Ltd. (ISM), are
pleased to explain the federal and California emission control system warranty on your engine.

In California, new' 2000 and later small non-road engines must be designed, built and equipped to meet the state’s strin­
gent anti-smog standards. In other states, new 2000 and later non-road diesel engines rated under 19 kW must be
designed, built and equipped to conform to applicable EPA regulations.

ISM must wa.rrant the emission control system on your engine for that period of time listed below provided there has

been no abuse, neglect or improper maintenance of your small non-road diesel engine.

Your California and EPA emission control system may include parts such as the fuel injection system and other emis­
sion-related assemblies.

MTiere a warrantable condition exists, GENERkC will repair your engine at no cost to you, including diagnosis, parts and
labor, on behalf of ISM. Mthough ISM is ultimately responsible for this w'arranty, GENERAC has agreed to cany^ out ISM's
warranty repair responsibilities, and GENERIC should be your primary contact for emission-related warranty service.

MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY COVERAGE

Far. 2000 and later small non-road diesel engines first sold in California, and 2000 and later non-road diesel engines
rated under 19 kW first sold in all other states, the applicable warranty' period is two (2) years or 1,500 hours, whichevrer
comes first.

If any emission-related part on your engine is defective, the part wall be repaired or replaced by a Generac Authorized
Warranty Service FacillW on behalf of ISM.

PARTS COVERED

This emission control system warranty applies to the following engine emission control parts.

• Fuel Injection Pump

• Fuel Injectors

Intake Manifold

Air Cleaner Element

• Exhaust Manifold
• Miscellaneous Hoses, Bolts and Connectors

OWNER'S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the engine owner, you are responsible for the performance of the required maintenance listed in your

M a n u a l.

GENERAC and ISM recommend that you retain the original purchase documentation and all receipts covering

maintenance on your engine, but GENERAC and ISM cannot deny warranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your
failure to ensure the performance of all scheduled maintenance.

As the engine owner, you should be aware, however, that GENERAC and ISM may deny you warranty coverage if your

engine or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance or unapproved modifications.

You are responsible for contacting a Generac Authorized Warranty Service Facility as soon as a problem occurs.
The warranty repairs should be completed in a reasonable amount of time, not to exceed ,30 days.
