Send test

Use this test to see if the printer can send data serially or with the parallel
port.
•
Serial connection:
You need a terminal program, such as HyperTerminal.
To start the send test
1. Start the terminal program and set it to the transmission parameters used by
the printer.
2. Press Online to start the send test.
[22] Pattern in the terminal window.
The terminal window should show a regular pattern of four repeating
characters. Those characters are continuously sent by the printer.
A transfer error appears as an irregularity in the pattern. Press Prog to stop
the test.

Parallel connection: Call Service to check the parallel port.
