6-8 Using Diagnostics
Hardware Test Menu, Printhead
1. Select Printhead to check the dot resistance and printhead
temperature.
2. Select Dot Resistance. “Running Dot Test…” briefly
appears on the display.
Avg dot = 350
Enter for dot value
Esc to leave
3. The average dot resistance is displayed. The acceptable
range is 245 to 455. Press Enter to continue the test with
each dot (results displayed). This test takes a few minutes.
4. Press
b to return to the previous menu.
5. Select Temperature to display the printhead temperature.
PH Temp. = 29 C
The temperature value may fluctuate on the display. The
acceptable range is 5 to 60.
NOTE: The temperature value is not the temperature in
degrees. In fact, the higher temperature value, the
lower the temperature.
6. Press
b to return to the previous menu.
7. Select Exit to return to the Hardware Test menu.
Hardware Test Menu, Battery
1. Select Battery to display the battery’s voltage. The
acceptable range is between 7.00 and 8.15.
2. Press
b to return to the previous menu.
3. Select Exit to return to the Hardware Test menu.
