Chapter 5. FRONT PANEL
OPERATION
5.1 Introduction
You can fully control and monitor the operation of the CPA ISSPA from the front panel. Figure
5-1 shows both the original (obsolete) and current panel layouts.
The front panel features (from left) six Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Indicators, a Vacuum
Fluorescent Display (VFD), and a six-button keypad. Data is entered via the keypad – nested
menus display all available options and prompt you to carry out a required action – and
messages are displayed on the VFD. The LEDs indicate, in a summary fashion, the status of the
modem.
This chapter describes, in detail, the function and behavior of the LED indicators, VFD, and
keypad.
