Sound and Speaker Problems

Basic Checks:

If using external speakers:
– Make sure that the speaker cables are firmly connected to the

computer.

– Test the electrical outlet: verify that the speakers are connected to

a working electrical outlet.

– Ensure that the speakers are turned on.

If using a sound card, make sure external audio devices are connected

to the sound card’s connectors and not to the microphone, line-out, or

line-in connectors on the computer's front or back panels.

Adjust the volume.

Reinstall the audio driver for your operating system.

Check for interference: electrical appliances on the same circuit or

operating in close proximity to the computer can cause interference.
