Placing Phones In or Out of Service

In the event a telephone needs to be removed for repair or replacement, the phone record can be marked
as “Out of Service.” With a phone record marked as “Out of Service,” it will not be reported as being
inactive or having exceptions. This feature is only available when set to one of two Inactive settings in
the “Graphical Inactive Notification” tab of the TMA Options screen.

Placing a Phone “Out of Service”

To tag a phone record as “Out of Service,” right click on the phone in the main window and select Tag
for Out of service
in the pop-up menu, as shown below.

The following message window will appear asking, “Do you wish to continue?”

Click

Yes

. The message window will close and the selected phone is now placed Out of Service.
