Retaining ring
Standard
ቢ Unscrew retaining ring. Remove and discard old lens (see note below).
ባ Check condition of O-ring and seal.
ቤ Insert new lens with the flat side facing the retaining ring. Re-install retaining ring.
Note:
It should be snug, but do not over-tighten!
ብ Make sure lens is clean and free of foreign material.

Note:
ZnSe is a crystal material. Take great care when you handle, mount and clean these lenses.
Apply uniform pressure when handling or mounting ZnSe lenses. Do not use tools, including
tweezers, because the substrate easily scratches, cracks, or chips. Always wear latex or vinyl
finger cots or gloves when handling and cleaning these lenses to prevent contamination of the
substrate or coating. See appendix for MSDS information.
