Fabricate a duplicate model and subsequently cast it with

commercially available refractory die material, e.g. BegoForm

®

from

Bego or Cosmotech VEST, G-CERA

TM

Vest from GC (observe the

instructions of the manufacturer). Die materials that feature an

even, light colour after firing are particularly suitable.
Fabricate the model as small as possible in order to minimize the
effects on firing!

The following chart shows the step-by-step layering of IPS e.max Ceram veneers on refractory dies.

Important: Prior to each working step, the refactory model has to be immersed in distilled water for about

5–10 minutes.

TIP

:

For the fabrication of veneers, smaller working steps and several intermediate firing cycles are recommended.

Fabricating the model

For the wash firing, IPS e.max Ceram Add-On is preferably applied.

However, IPS e.max Ceram Dentin or Transpa clear can also be used.

Mix the materials with Build-up Liquid, apply in a thin layer on the

refractory model, and fire at the respective temperature.

Wash firing

Prepare dies made of refractory die material for the veneer fabrication

Conduct the Wash firing using Add-On, Dentin or Transpa clear materials. Apply
the layering materials in a thin layer.

Build up the marginal areas using IPS e.max Ceram Dentin.

Cervical firing

Build up the marginal areas using Deep Dentin.
