8. Next, coat the restoration with a light- / dual-curing
cement (eg Variolink II) and place the restoration.
Remove excess cement and light cure the restoration
from all sides according to the instructions of the manu-
facturer, using a LED or halogen polymerization unit.
Make sure that all the surfaces are fully cured. Check
the light performance of the curing light on a regular
basis.
Note: If cement is applied to cavity surfaces that have
been coated with activated AdheSE Bond, premature
polymerization may occur which could adversely affect
the fit of the restoration.
Note: For the cementation of veneers, the total etch
technique should be applied.
C: Direct restorations – self or dual-curing composites
(eg core build-up composites)
1. AdheSE Primer is applied, allowed to react and
dispersed with air and the bonding agent is activated
and applied as described in items B 3 to B7a.
2. Activated AdheSE Bond does not have to be light cured
if self or dual-curing filling materials are used.
If light-curing of the adhesive is preferred, AdheSE Bond
may be polymerized for 10 s using a LED or halogen
curing unit with a light intensity of more than
400 mW/cm
2 (eg bluephase in the LOP mode).
3. Mix the composite (eg MultiCore) according to its
Instructions for Use and place it in the cavity.
Warning
AdheSE is irritating. Avoid contact of the material with the
skin, mucous membrane and eyes. If the product comes in
contact with the skin, wash it off with plenty of water. In
case of accidental contact with the eyes, wash immediately
with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
Commercial medical gloves do not protect against
sensitivity towards methacrylate.
