Copying a schedule

4 Click Create.

An empty schedule is created. The new schedule is highlighted in the left pane and its
name appears at the top of the schedule grid.

5 Add events to the schedule by using the following buttons:

Append Schedule: to add an existing schedule to the end of the schedule.

Append Events: to add the events from an existing schedule to the end of the

schedule.

Insert Event: to insert a primary event within the schedule.

Append Event: to add a primary event to the end of the schedule.

Add Secondary: to add a secondary event to a primary event.

Copying a schedule

The Copy Schedule button enables you to create a copy of the schedule currently open in
the schedule grid. This is useful when you want to make modifications to a schedule
without losing the original schedule since schedules are automatically saved as you make
changes.

To copy a schedule:

1 In the top menu, click Schedule Edit.

2 In the left pane, click the schedule you want to copy.

3 Click Copy Schedule. The Copy Schedule dialog box opens.

4 In the Enter New Schedule Name field, type a name for the schedule.

5 Click Create.

Appending a schedule to a schedule

When you append a schedule to another schedule, it is as if you are nesting a copy of a
schedule within a schedule. This can be useful when you want to assemble a master
schedule from a series of smaller schedules or reuse the smaller schedules in different
master schedules. The same schedule cannot be added twice to a schedule. The nested
schedule retains references to the original schedule and changes made in the original
schedule are automatically updated in all the nested copies of the schedule.

If you do not want the nested schedule to retain a reference to the original schedule, you
can add just the events from the schedule to the schedule, see

To append a schedule:

1 In the top menu, click Schedule Edit.

2 In the left pane, click the schedule you want to edit.

3 Click Append Schedule.

4 In the Select Schedule dialog box, click the schedule that you want to add to the

schedule open in the schedule grid.

5 Click Select.

The selected schedule is appended after the last schedule or event in the schedule grid.
