Components
The NewsShare NAS system consists of the following components:
• Enclosure—Contains a server, a RAID 10 array, and power supplies
• Database System Manager—Contains the Operating System and the Sequel
Server
• Accessories, including cables
Unpacking the Appliance
To unpack the NewsShare NAS:
1. Move the Enclosure to the place of operation. The appliance weighs
approximately 57.6 pounds (26.18 kg); use care in lifting it.
2. Unpack the Database System Manager (DSM) and place it on top of the
Enclosure.
