Replacing GBIC data ports

The PFR 500/E ships with passive copper data ports installed in the RAID Controller
and Loop Bypass Board (LBB) modules.

To replace the GBIC:

1. Remove cabling and remove the GBIC as shown.

2. Insert the replacement GBIC into the module as shown, then reconnect cabling.

3. Verify the Fibre Channel connection using the port Loop LED. Refer to

“Interpreting rear panel status LEDs” on page 38

.
