File Input and Output

Open Groove Librarian:

Clicking on the "Open Groove Librarian" button opens the

Groove Librarian which enables Groove searching within the RMV's
internal library, as well as the importing of Grooves from other
locations. The Groove Librarian is described in more detail below.

Browse Forwards:

Once a Groove has been loaded, the "Browse Forwards" button on
the right of the "Open Groove Librarian" button can be used to
navigate forwards (by name) within the currently selected directory.
This significantly reduces the time taken to locate and load Grooves.

Stop/Play Groove:

Grooves can be played independently of the application hosting the
VST instrument. To start playback of a Groove file, click on the Play
button. To stop playback of a Groove file, click on the Stop button.
Note that Groove playback always commences from the start a
Groove file regardless of where playback was stopped.

H:

The setting of the “H” Host Sync control determines whether or not
the module's internal MIDI data is used when the host application is
played (for more info refer to Appendix D).

D:

The “D” Drag control enables a Groove file to be dragged and
dropped into the host software (provided that the host software
supports the display of MIDI files) where it is displayed as a MIDI file.
Although it's great to be able to preview Groove files, playing them
from within the RMV means that neither the file's tempo nor its
individual elements can be edited. Once the Groove file is dragged to
the host application, the user is free to edit and rearrange the loop as
desired.

Title:

The Title control is located above the “Browse Backwards/Open
Groove Librarian/Browse Forwards” controls. This control displays
the name of the currently loaded Groove, as well as the tempo of the
Groove file.

Unload Groove:

To the right of the Title control is the "Clear Groove" button ( "X"
icon). Clicking on this button removes the currently loaded Groove
from the RMV.
