Asked Questions
Hardware
My TV/Projector does not have
an HDMI Input. Can I still use the
WTV-3000?
Yes, The WTV-3000 can be connected to display devices which
have A/V output connections.
The HDTV cannot show the
menu of the WTV-3000.
Connect the WTV-3000 to the TV using the HDMI cord provided.
Make sure the HDTV is turned on and set to display the input from
the correct HDMI port. Wait for the "Ready to connect" screen to
appear before attempting to connect with laptop/device.
Network and Configuration
Does my device have Intel WiDi?
In Windows 7 or Windows 8 desktop, find the Intel WiDi icon OR
search for "Intel WiDi" program using Windows Search.
I connect the WTV-3000 in
Miracast mode by smartphone.
Can I connect the internet?
Yes, you can connect the internet via router or 3G and connect the
WTV-3000 in Miracast mode at the same time.
Can I extend my Windows
desktop to the HDTV or
Projector?
Yes. After the connection to the WTV-3000 is established, you can
switch the ScreenShare mode that should see the laptop screen
mirrored to the HDTV or Projector.
Can I connect to the Wi-Fi router
and the WTV-3000
simultaneously with my Wi-Fi
Miracast device?
Some Wi-Fi Miracast devices cannot connect to both Wi-Fi router
and the WTV-3000 at the same time. Refer to your
device manufacturer's or carrier's user manual for more information.
Can I connect to the Wi-Fi router
and the WTV-3000
simultaneously with my Intel
WiDi laptop?
Yes. We recommend to connect the laptop to an available Wi-Fi
router first, and then connect to the WTV-3000. You can then view
online contents and display them on the TV.
My device has Android 4.2. Does
it have Miracast?
Make sure your device has one of the following Miracast
applications:
● Wireless display
● Wireless mirroring
● Screen mirroring
● AllShareCast (Samsung's only)
