A. Install the Dual Cooling Air Kit

The cooling air kit is supplied as a standard feature with this

fireplace and is required for safe operation. Installation must

be done at the time of initial construction. The cooling air in-

let tubes must be a minimum of 72 in. (1829 mm) above the

base of the fireplace to prevent potential blockage by snow

or yard debris. See Figure 4.1.
To install the air kit collar, slide one of the tabs down into the

seam. See Figure 4.2. Secure the collar tabs to the fireplace

with screws placed into the holes provided. See Figure 4.3.
Repeat for other side.

during installation.

• Wall, floor or ceiling cavity.

• Enclosed space such as an attic or

garage.

• Close proximity to exhaust vents or

chimneys.
