Atomizing Air Restrictor Valve
Removal and Replacement

1.

Prepare the gun for service, page 41.

2.

Remove the atomizing air restrictor valve (23).
Inspect the o-ring (23c*). Replace if necessary. See
F

3.

Install a new atomizing air restrictor valve (23), or
disassemble and replace parts individually. The
valve protrusion must be oriented to clear the air
valve (21) shaft.

If the atomizing air restrictor valve is not desired, install
the supplied plug (47).

4.

Torque the valve housing (23a) to 15-20 in-lb
(1.7-2.3 N•m).

ES ON/OFF Valve Repair

1.

Prepare the gun for service, page 41.

2.

Loosen the screw (48). Remove the valve.

3.

Lubricate the o-rings (22a* and 22b*) with non-sili-
cone grease, Part No. 111265. Do not over-lubri-
cate.

4.

Clean and inspect parts for damage. Replace if nec-
essary.

The protrusion on the retainer plate (22d) must point
upward.

5.

Reinstall the valve. Torque the screw (48) to 15-25
in-lb (1.7-2.8 N•m).

CAUTION

Do not over-lubricate parts. Excessive lubricant on
the o-rings can be pushed into the gun air passage
and blemish the finish on the workpiece.
