5.5 COMMUNICATION

This option allows you to configure the status of the RS-232 communication port when connected to an

external device, and the wireless communications settings. (Please refer to the APPENDIX 2 and Network

Function for more details)

WIRELESS:
This entry allows users to set the wireless setting.

OPERATION:
This option is used to configure the wireless operational settings.


ESSID:

This option enables you to change the wireless network name. Unique identifier for the Extended

Service Set (ESS) which is shared by client stations in an infrastructure association, such as the

WLAN-test. It is case-sensitive and cannot exceed 32 characters.

NOTE: If you use more than two NVR units, take care not to use the same ESSID name for

both, since the client device can only connect with one server each time and will
automatically connect with the nearest unit.
