Parental Lock

This function restricts playback of DVD VIDEO discs which
contain violent (and other) scenes according to the level set by
the user. For example, if a movie which includes violent scenes
supports the parental lock feature, such scenes which you do not
want to let children view can be cut or replaced with other
scenes.

To set Parental Lock for the first time

A

Turn on the unit.

Press 1.

B

Select the DVD deck.

On the unit
Press S-VHS/DVD repeatedly so that the DVD indicator
lights up.

On the remote control
Press DVD so that the DVD indicator lights up.

C

Access the Parental Lock screen.

Press and hold 8, then press OK.

D

Select the country code.

E

Select the set level.

F

Enter the password.

G

Return to the normal screen.

Press OK.

● Turn on the TV and select the video channel (or AV

mode).

● Slide the TV/S-VHS/DVD switch to the right.

Press w e to select the
desired country code, then
press OK.

Press w e to select the
desired level, then press OK.

● “1” is the strictest level. “–”

means no restriction. Discs
rated higher than the selected
level are restricted.

● You cannot play back the discs

rated higher than the selected
level.

Press the appropriate number
keys
to enter 4-digit
password, then press OK.

● If you make a mistake, enter

the correct password again.
