8 AUTO TIMER

OFF
ON

When this function is set to “ON”, the timer is automatically engaged when the
unit power is turned off, and automatically disengaged when the unit is
powered back on.

NOTE:

For safety, when “AUTO TIMER” is set to “OFF”, all other functions are disabled while the
Timer mode is engaged. To disengage the timer, press # (TIMER).

8 RESUME

ON
OFF
DISC RESUME

When this function is set to “ON” or “DISC RESUME”, you can use the resume
function. (

ON

:

You can start playback from the resume point of the placed
disc.

OFF

:

You cannot use the resume function.

DISC RESUME

:

The unit retains a memory of the resume points of the last 30
discs played back, even though they have been ejected.

NOTE:

“DISC RESUME” setting works on DVD VIDEO, VCD, SVCD and already finalised DVD-
R/DVD-RW (video mode) discs. For other types of discs, the function under “ON” setting
will be applied even if “RESUME” is set to “DISC RESUME”.

8 AV COMPULINK MODE

By connecting other JVC’s AV COMPULINK components, one touch control of
the audio and video components linked via their AV COMPULINK connectors
become possible. Select the appropriate mode depending on the used
connector of the connected AV COMPULINK components.

DVD1

:

Select this when connecting to the TV’s VIDEO Input 3 or AV
amplifier’s DVD Input connector.

DVD2

:

Select this when connecting to the TV’s VIDEO Input 1
connector.

DVD3

:

Select this when connecting to the TV’s VIDEO Input 2
connector

NOTE:

Refer to the other components’ instruction manuals for connection and its operation.
