Thank you for purchasing the JVC DVD video recorder.
Before use, please read the safety information and
precautions to ensure safe use of your new unit.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol,
within an equilateral triangle, is intended to
alert the user to the presence of uninsulated
“dangerous voltage” within the product’s
enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock to
persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral
triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of important operating and
maintenance (servicing) instructions in the
literature accompanying the appliance.
WARNING:
TO PREVENT FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD, DO
NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR
MOISTURE.
CAUTION:
This unit should be used with AC 120Vd, 60Hz only.
To prevent electric shocks and fire hazards, DO NOT use any
other power source.

TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF
PLUG TO WIDE SLOT, FULLY INSERT.

Note to CATV system installer:
This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer’s
attention to Article 820-40 of the NEC that provides guidelines
for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable
ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the
building, as close to the point of cable entry as practical.
CAUTION:
Changes or modifications not approved by JVC could void
user’s authority to operate the equipment.

A UNIT IS A CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT. HOWEVER THIS UNIT USES A VISIBLE LASER BEAM WHICH COULD
CAUSE HAZARDOUS RADIATION EXPOSURE IF DIRECTED. BE SURE TO OPERATE THE UNIT CORRECTLY AS
INSTRUCTED.
WHEN THIS UNIT IS PLUGGED INTO THE WALL OUTLET, DO NOT PLACE YOUR EYES CLOSE TO THE
OPENING OF THE DISC TRAY AND OTHER OPENINGS TO LOOK INTO THE INSIDE OF THIS UNIT.
USE OF CONTROLS OR ADJUSTMENTS OR PERFORMANCE OF PROCEDURES OTHER THAN THOSE SPECIFIED
HEREIN MAY RESULT IN HAZARDOUS RADIATION EXPOSURE.
DO NOT OPEN COVERS AND DO NOT REPAIR YOURSELF. REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
