Customizing Your CLIE Handheld (Preferences)
What you can do with Preferences
You can customize your CLIE handheld’s operation and default settings by
changing Preferences.
Buttons Assign different applications to the buttons on the front
panel of your CLIE handheld and the HotSync
® button on
the cradle, and reassign the full-screen pen stroke
command.
Connection Configure serial, modem, and infrared communication
settings.
Digitizer Calibrate the screen on your organizer.
Formats Set the country default and the formats for dates, time,
calendar, and numbers.
General Set the date and time, the auto shut-off interval, the Stay
on in cradle feature, the Beam Receive feature, and the
system, alarm, and game sounds.
Network Configure or edit the settings of your ISP (Internet
Service Provider) or dial-in server by using a preset
service template or creating your own service template.
Owner Assign your name, phone number, and other owner
information to your CLIE handheld.
ShortCuts Define a list of Graffiti ® abbreviations.
