Removing the battery
Note
Do not open the battery cover, except when you dispose of the battery.
When you dispose of the internal lithium ion battery which can no longer
hold a charge at the end of its life, remove the battery as follows.

Remove the screw using a screwdriver.

Grip the edge of the black battery cover to slide it open.
3
Take out the battery cover.
4
Remove the battery.
Notes
• Dispose of the battery properly at end-of-life.
• In some areas the disposal of lithium ion batteries in household or business waste may
be prohibited. Please use the public collection system.
• If the battery is not correctly replaced, it might explode.
• Contact CLIE Technical Support Web site about replacing the battery with a new one.
