Setting the Side Key Guard

This feature enables you to lock the side keys while the flip is
closed.

1. Press

to access the main menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Others.

4. Select Side Key Guard.

5. Select On or Off.

Note:

This feature does not apply when the flip is open.

Tip:

You can deactivate this feature temporarily by pressing and holding

while the phone is closed. Note that the Side Key Guard will

reactivate if the phone is left unoperated for approximately 30 seconds
or if the phone is opened and re-closed.

Setting the Text Entry

1. Press

to access the main menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Others.

4. Select Text Entry.

5. Select your desired option.

Auto-Capital to set the auto-capital On or Off.

My Words to set your original words (see page 24).

Input Language to select the language (English or French).

Default Input to select T9 word, Alphabet, or Retain Mode for the
initial entry mode. Set Retain Mode to retain the previous entry
mode (see page 25).

Auto-Space to set the auto-space on or off after T9 words you
enter.

Recent Access to display the three most recently used input
mode menu items from the top of the list when this setting is
set to on.

T9 Settings to customize the T9 settings (see page 25).

Add Word to store words that you use frequently (see page 24).
