Quick Reference for Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble with your phone, check the following list of symptoms. If you cannot solve the problem yourself, contact Service Information Window.

Symptom

No power

Battery does not recharge

SIM error

PIN error

PUK error

Cannot make any calls

Cannot make international calls

Cannot answer calls

Ringer muted

Cannot forward calls

Msg memo feature does not work
Cannot record messages

Cannot create new Phone Book entry

Possible cause

• Battery low
• Battery loaded incorrectly

• Battery not correctly connected to charger
• Battery expired

• SIM card inserted incorrectly
• SIM card dirty
• SIM card damaged

• PIN code entry failed 3 times in succession

• PUK code entry failed 10 times in succession

• Wrong number
• Antenna not extended
• Outgoing calls barred
• Maximum cumulative time-charge exceeded
• Weak signal
• Defective SIM card

• Phone number with no leading "+" and country

code

• Weak signal
• Incoming calls barred

• Ringer disabled

• No phone number entered as destination

• The total number of messages or the total recording

time exceeds the maximum limit

• Phone Book full

User response

• Charge battery immediately
• See page 17 to click battery into place

• Replace with new battery
