These are typical AC output voltage wave-
forms generated from a properly operating
machine. Note each vertical division repre-
sents 20 volts and each horizontal division
represents 2 milliseconds in time. The
machine was loaded with a resistance grid
bank. As the load is increased the output
waveform becomes more “square”.

Note: Scope probes connected at machine
output studs: (+) probe to electrode, (–)
probe to work.
