Appendix F: Replacing the Hard Drive
5 Carefully slide the hard drive back until it is clear of the SATA connector and lift it out of the
DVR.

Replacing the Hard Drive
To replace the hard drive:
1 Place the hard drive into the DVR. Make sure to align the SATA ports on the hard drive with
the DVR SATA connector.

2 Slide the hard drive onto the DVR SATA connector.
3 Hold the hard drive in place with your hand and carefully turn the DVR over. Replace the hard
drive screws (4x) on the bottom panel of the DVR.
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
that you hold the hard drive in
place while turning the DVR
over and replacing the bottom
panel screws. Not holding the
hard drive can break the DVR.
