Head units display

When the separately sold display is connected to this

unit, the listed information will appear on it.

Information display

These are the basic steps necessary to play an

MP3/WMA with your DVD player. More ad-

vanced MP3/WMA operation is explained

starting on page 43.

1 ROM indicator

Shows when the MP3/WMA file is playing.

When playing discs with MP3/WMA files

and audio data (CD-DA) such as CD-EXTRA

and MIXED-MODE CDs, CD/ROM is dis-

played.

2 Folder number indicator

Shows the number of folder currently play-

ing.

! On the head units display, if the folder

number is more than 100, F in the folder

number indicator disappears.

3 Play time indicator

Shows the elapsed playing time of the cur-

rent track.

! If the play time is more than 100 minutes,

only the last two digits of play time (min-

ute) is displayed on the head units dis-

play.

4 Track number indicator

Shows the track currently playing.

! If a track number 100 to 199 is selected,

d will light up above the last two digits

of the track number.

! If a track number 200 or more is selected,

d will blink above the last two digits of

the track number.

Basic operation of MP3/WMA

1 Press r or q to select a folder.

# You cannot select a folder that does not have
an MP3/WMA file recorded in it.
# To return to folder 01 (ROOT), press and hold
BAND. However, if folder 01 (ROOT) contains no
files, playback commences with folder 02.

2 To perform fast forward or reverse,

press and hold m or n.

# This is fast forward and reverse operation only
for the file being played. This operation is can-
celed when the previous or next file is reached.
# If the remote control is set to DVH mode, o
and p are assigned to other functions. Use
m and n instead for the DVD mode functions
controlled by o and p.

3 To skip back or forward to another

track, press o or p.

Pressing p skips to the start of the next

track. Pressing o once skips to the start of

the current track. Pressing again will skip to

the previous track.
