Operating from the

information display

This display lets you use the search function

to specify a track or a folder to search for de-

sired track or folder, select the range for repeat

play, and switch random play, scan play and

pause playback on or off.

1 Information display

Shows the function status.

% Press DISP to switch the information

display.

Press DISP repeatedly to switch between the

following display modes:

Information display Folder Name (folder

name display)File Name (file name display)

Track Title (track title display)

Artist Name (artist name display)

Album Title (album title display)

Comment (comment display)Bit Rate (bit

rate display)

! When playing back WMA files, album title

and comment are not displayed.

! When playing back MP3 files recorded as

VBR (variable bit rate) files, the bit rate
value is not displayed even after switching
to bit rate. (VBR will be displayed.)

! This unit does not play back WMA files re-

corded as VBR (variable bit rate).

! If specific information has not been re-

corded on an MP3/WMA disc, No XXXX
will be displayed (e.g., No Track Title).

! Some characters may not be displayed

properly.

Scrolling titles in the display

This unit can display the first 8 letters only of

FOLDER, FILE, TRK TTL, ART NAME,

ALBM TTL, COMMENT and Bit Rate. When

the recorded information is longer than 8 let-

ters, you can scroll the text to the left so that

the rest of the text information can be seen.

% Press DISPLAY and hold until the title

begins to scroll to the left.

The rest of the title will appear in the display.

Searching for a desired track

You can use the search function to specify a

track to search for a desired track.

1 Move the joystick left or right to select

the track option.

The track option is highlighted.

2 Press NUMBER to input the desired

number.

! To select 3, press 3.
! To select 10, press 1 and 0 in order.
! To select 23, press 2 and 3 in order.

 To jump 10 tracks ahead of the selected

one, press 10.

# Pressing CLEAR cancels the input number.
# You can also select tracks by moving the joy-
stick up or down.
# You cannot select tracks by using NUMBER
when the remote control is set to DVH mode. In
this case, use the joystick to select tracks.
