S

This UPS contains its own energy source (batteries). The output receptacles may carry
live voltage even when the UPS is not connected to an AC supply.

S

For 208–240V models, the output receptacles may remain electrically live. If the input
power source in your application is wired line-to-neutral (as in most European
applications), the voltage to the output receptacles is 0V. With line-to-line input wiring,
the voltage to the output receptacles is 110–120V (measured from line-to-ground or
line-to-neutral, depending on the UPS wiring).

S

Do not remove or unplug the input cord when the UPS is turned on. This removes the
safety ground from the UPS and the equipment connected to the UPS.

S

To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, install this UPS in a temperature and humidity
controlled, indoor environment, free of conductive contaminants. Ambient temperature
must not exceed 40

°C (104°F). Do not operate near water or excessive humidity (95%

maximum).

S

For UPS models with hardwired outputs, overcurrent protection for the output AC
circuit(s) is to be provided by others.

S

For UPS models with hardwired outputs, suitably rated disconnect switches for the
output AC circuit(s) are to be provided by others.
