Getting Help With Your Gauge

As you become familiar with using your DM-2A mark II gauge, you may have questions with

its basic operations and/or functions or you may encounter a situation that seems out of the
ordinary. There is often a simple answer or solution to solving common problems.

Before contacting Retrotec technical support, review the answers to these frequently asked

questions geared toward solving common difficulties:

Q:

Nothing appears on the display screen when I turn on my gauge. Is my gauge

damaged?

A:

Your Retrotec gauge is designed for maximum durability in the most rigorous usage

scenarios. If nothing appears on the display screen after pressing the O

n

button, check for the following:

• If running on battery power only, check that the batteries are installed (and

installed correctly).

• Turn the LCD Contrast button on the top side of the gauge to increase the

display screen contrast.

• Plug the AC power adapter jack into a power outlet and insert it into the port

marked Power on the top side of the gauge and press the O

n

button again.

Q:

The test device I wish to use does not appear when I cycle through the device list by

pressing the Device keypad button. How do I select my test device?

A:

The device you wish to use may be disabled in the Setup options. To enable a device,

follow these brief steps:

1. With your gauge on and running and from the main operational screen, press

the S

etup

keypad button.

2. Navigate the Setup menu selections and select Device Setup in the menu.
