To connect the solar cold and solar hot pipes to the solar storage tank:

Remove the compression nut
and olive from the solar hot
inlet fitting at the top of the
solar storage tank. Remove
the rubber washer from the
union and discard.

Remove the plastic cap from
the solar cold outlet pipe end
at the top of the solar storage
tank.

Fit the compression union
supplied to the solar cold
outlet pipe end.

CONNECTION

Connect the solar cold pipe (flow to the collector) to the nipple in the solar
cold outlet using the compression nut and olive supplied.

Connect the solar hot pipe (flow from the collector) to the nipple in the solar
hot inlet using the compression nut and olive supplied.


AUXILIARY PUMP
The maximum height of the solar installation from the base of the solar storage
tank to the top of the solar collectors is 9 m. The pump supplied with the solar
storage tank will not circulate closed circuit fluid through heights greater than
9 m and solar gain will not be achieved.

For heights greater than 9 m, an auxiliary pump (kit PN 299914) must be
installed. The installation of an auxiliary pump will enable a maximum height of
18 m to be achieved. Refer to

“Auxiliary Pump”

on page 49.
